March 28, New Delhi — At least seven people have been killed and several others injured after an avalanche struck Zoji La in Ladakh, trapping vehicles and blocking a key highway.
The avalanche hit the stretch between Zero Point and Minimarg, burying multiple vehicles under snow and debris and disrupting traffic on the Srinagar–Leh highway.
Rescue teams have been deployed to the area, and relief operations are currently underway to locate survivors and clear the route.
