
The 240th birth anniversary of the legendary Dogra commander Zorawar Singh, a symbol of bravery and valor, was observed with great reverence and enthusiasm in the district. On this occasion, tributes were paid at the statue of the great warrior located at the bus stand complex, where prayers were offered and floral tributes were laid in his honor.
Members of the organizing committee and local residents present at the event raised slogans in praise of the Dogra hero and remembered his unmatched courage and patriotism. The chief guests attending the program were also honored in a traditional Dogra style by presenting them with a Dogra turban.
Speaking on the occasion, the speakers described General Zorawar Singh as one of the greatest warriors in Dogra history, who achieved remarkable victories in several important battles through his exceptional courage, strategic skills, and leadership, thereby bringing glory to the Dogra empire. They also urged the younger generation to draw inspiration from his life and dedicate themselves to serving the nation and society.
At the end of the program, the participants paid heartfelt tributes to the great commander and pledged to follow the ideals and values he represented.
