New Delhi, May 18 – Singapore-based 12-year-old author Anya Hannan is making waves in the literary and environmental world with the release of her debut book The Resort, a marine adventure that aims to inspire young minds to protect the ocean and its wildlife.
Published by Saplings, an imprint of The Sunflower Seeds, The Resort follows the story of a brave turtle named Tiffany and her lively companion Polly. Together, the duo navigates the challenges of ocean pollution, vanishing coral reefs, and environmental disruption threatening their underwater world.

A Young Author with a Big Mission
Anya, an avid reader, swimmer, and touch rugby enthusiast, is also a passionate advocate for nature and wildlife conservation. She founded Trinkets and Treasures, a handmade jewellery brand that supports conservation efforts in Cambodia, further emphasizing her commitment to the planet.Her book aligns closely with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 14: Life Below Water, raising awareness about marine life preservation, especially the critical condition of sea turtles — over half of which are currently endangered.
