Thane, April 2 – A 22-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly murdering his wife in the Kashimira area of Thane district, police confirmed on Wednesday.
The accused, identified as Pappu Rathod, is alleged to have strangled his 28-year-old wife, Nasreen Rathod, at their residence on Monday evening. The incident came to light after a concerned neighbor lodged a complaint with local authorities.
Following the report, the police registered a First Information Report (FIR) under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which pertains to murder.
