Kota, Rajasthan, May 11 — At least 24 people sustained injuries after a private bus transporting wedding guests overturned early Sunday morning in Bundi district, Rajasthan, police officials confirmed.

The bus, which was carrying 35 passengers, was en route to Bhawanipura from Samidi village when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle. The accident occurred around 2:30 am near Gambhirpura village, causing the bus to topple into a roadside field.

According to Nainwan Police Station SHO Kamlesh Kumar Sharma, all injured passengers were immediately taken to a nearby Community Health Centre for medical attention. While several individuals were discharged after receiving treatment, others remain under medical supervision.

"Five of the injured are in serious condition and have been referred to a higher medical facility for advanced care," said Sharma. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.

The incident highlights ongoing concerns about road safety during late-night travel, especially during festive or family events.
