Gurugram, May 18 — A 26-year-old man identified as Armaan has been arrested in Haryana's Nuh district on charges of espionage for Pakistan, according to the local police.

Armaan was apprehended on Saturday following a tip-off from central intelligence agencies. He is accused of leaking sensitive information related to the Indian Army and other military activities. Police said the information was allegedly shared over WhatsApp and other social media platforms with an individual employed at the High Commission of Pakistan in Delhi.

During the investigation, authorities recovered incriminating evidence from Armaan’s mobile phone, including conversations, photos, and videos exchanged with Pakistani numbers.

A senior police official confirmed that Armaan was produced before a local court, which remanded him to six days of police custody. A case has been registered against him under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Official Secrets Act, 1923.

Further investigations are underway to determine the extent of the information leak and any possible links to a broader espionage network.
