46-Year-Old Man Crushed to Death Between Trucks in Outer North Delhi
New Delhi, May 11 — A tragic accident unfolded in Outer North Delhi’s SGT Nagar area on Saturday afternoon, claiming the life of a 46-year-old truck conductor who was fatally pinned between two heavy vehicles in a parking lot.The victim, identified as Deepak, was crushed when a container truck reversed and trapped him against a stationary truck. The incident occurred around 2:30 pm while Deepak was opening the door of the stationary vehicle, which belonged to his employer, Firoz Khan.
According to Khan, a resident of Pupraua village in Madhya Pradesh's Morena district, the truck had been parked in the area for two days. While Deepak was accessing the parked vehicle, the container truck began reversing unexpectedly.
“Deepak was caught between the two trucks. I immediately alerted the container driver, who then pulled the vehicle forward. But by then, Deepak had collapsed and was bleeding heavily from the mouth,” Khan recounted in his complaint.
Emergency services rushed Deepak to the hospital, but he was declared dead upon arrival.
Police have registered a case and confirmed that legal action has been initiated. Investigations are ongoing to determine liability and whether negligence played a role in the incident.
This marks yet another fatal mishap involving heavy vehicles in the national capital, highlighting ongoing concerns over safety protocols in commercial transport zones.
