Thane, May 12 – A 50-year-old man lost his life after being bitten by a snake at his home in Javsai village, located in the Ambernath area of Maharashtra’s Thane district, police confirmed on Monday.
The tragic incident took place on Saturday night when the victim, identified as Vardaraj Naidu, was attacked by the snake inside his residence. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency medical treatment. However, doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
Authorities have registered a case of accidental death in connection with the incident, according to the local police official.
This unfortunate event underscores the dangers of snake encounters in rural and semi-rural regions, especially during warmer months when such incidents are more frequent.
