Victim Was Collecting Fodder Near Sabdalpur Teli Village
Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh – A 50-year-old woman was killed by a leopard while collecting fodder in a forest near Sabdalpur Teli village, officials from the forest department confirmed on Monday.The victim, identified as Sameena, had ventured into the forest on Sunday evening to gather fodder. When she did not return by late evening, her family members initiated a search and eventually discovered her body in a severely mutilated condition.
According to Forest Ranger Dushyant Kumar from Chandpur, leopard paw marks were found on her body, confirming the fatal attack. "The incident occurred in a forested area of Bijnor district. Signs of a leopard attack were clearly visible," Kumar stated.
Authorities have not released further details but are expected to enhance patrolling in the area to prevent similar incidents. The tragic event has raised concerns among local residents about increasing human-wildlife conflict in the region.
