6.4 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Vanuatu Coast.webp

February 14, New Delhi – A 6.4 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Vanuatu on Saturday.

Local residents described it as a very strong earthquake, but no initial damage has been reported.

The U.S. Geological Survey stated that the epicenter was approximately 50 kilometers west of the village of Port Olry, on the island of Espiritu Santo in the Pacific Basin.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre stated that there is no risk of a tsunami due to the earthquake.
