Ottawa, May 15 — A 78-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a minor in Brampton, Canada, earlier this month, according to Peel Regional Police.
Harmohinder Singh was taken into custody on May 8 by the Special Victims Unit following an investigation into reports of child sexual abuse.

Authorities stated that Singh allegedly approached a female victim, who is under the age of 12, and sexually assaulted her on three separate occasions at a park in Brampton.

He now faces six charges, including three counts of sexual assault of a female under 17 and three counts of sexual interference.

Singh is currently held in custody and awaiting a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

Peel Police have urged the public to come forward with any additional information, noting that investigators believe there may be more victims or witnesses.
