Shelling Reported in RS Pura Sector; Troops Rushed to Medical Facility

New Delhi/Jammu, May 10 – Eight personnel of the Border Security Force (BSF) were injured on Saturday following intense shelling by Pakistan along the International Border (IB) in Jammu, officials confirmed.

The shelling occurred in the RS Pura sector, a sensitive region often targeted during cross-border hostilities. The injured BSF jawans were immediately shifted to a nearby military medical facility for treatment. Their condition remains closely monitored.

The BSF, which is responsible for securing the over 2,000-kilometre-long India-Pakistan border, has heightened alert levels in the region following the incident.

This escalation marks another flashpoint amid ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan, especially in the wake of recent drone strikes and military exchanges.
