Bhubaneswar, February 8 One person has been arrested with a large quantity of cough syrups in the Sonepur district of Odisha, police said on Sunday.
The consignment, consisting of approximately 9,000 bottles of cough syrup, was being illegally transported from Bargarh to Sonepur, they said.
"One person has been arrested, and efforts are underway to apprehend other accused who managed to escape from the scene," said Sonepur SP Narayan Nayak.
Two vehicles were seized during the operation.
