Union Minister Emphasises Women's Crucial Role in Nation-Building and Community Development
In a powerful address at the Central Foundation Day celebration of the All-Assam Sonowal Kachari Women’s Association (AASKWA) in Dibrugarh, Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, stressed the indispensable role of women in shaping society and nation-building. The event took place on Sunday, marking a significant moment for the Sonowal Kachari community.

Highlighting women's unique contribution, Sonowal remarked, "A mother’s lap is the world’s best institution of learning." Drawing inspiration from ancient Indian wisdom, he cited the Rigveda, underscoring that historically women have been central to building a progressive and holistic society.
