New Delhi, Feb 2 (PTI) – With the Delhi Assembly elections just days away, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Sunday urged voters to prioritize "education over violence," emphasizing that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is committed to empowering the youth.

Addressing a roadshow in Jangpura as part of AAP’s election campaign, Mann claimed that the people of Delhi had already made their decision and that the February 5 polling was merely a "formality."

"People have only two options—one party that prioritizes education and another that thrives on conflict. It’s up to you to choose the right path," Mann told the crowd, urging them to re-elect Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for an unprecedented fourth term.

He reinforced AAP’s education-driven agenda, declaring, "Do you want to give your children weapons or books? We will put pens and books in their hands, not swords."

Takes a Swipe at BJP

Mann also accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of misusing public money for electoral gains.

"The BJP has looted the people’s money, and now they will try to buy your votes with it. Don't be surprised if someone knocks on your door today, tomorrow, or even late at night, offering you cash," he cautioned.

With a touch of humor, he advised voters not to reject such offers outright. "Don’t turn them down… after all, Lakshmi visiting your home shouldn’t be sent away. But when it comes to voting, make sure you vote for AAP," he quipped.

Mika Singh Joins Campaign

Later, in a rally at Chandni Chowk, Mann was joined by popular singer Mika Singh, where the duo performed the Punjabi folk song Challa while campaigning for AAP candidate Punardeep Singh Sawhney.

The song’s lyrics, which convey longing and hope, struck a chord with the crowd as AAP leaders continued to push their ‘education and development’ agenda against the BJP’s campaign.

High-Stakes Delhi Elections

The fiercely contested Delhi Assembly elections are set for February 5, with results to be declared on February 8.

While AAP is aiming for a third consecutive term, the BJP is determined to wrest control of the national capital after more than 25 years.
