February 14, New Delhi – Indian athletes showcased strong performances in the men's hammer throw at the Abu Dhabi Masters, with Kishorakumar Chandira Mogan winning gold and Mohammad Ansar securing bronze in the 30+ age category.
Kishorakumar secured the top position with a winning throw of 37.92 meters, while his compatriot Ansar earned third place at the international veterans athletics meet.
The gold medalist demonstrated consistency throughout the competition, achieving a personal best of 37.92 meters.
The competition is part of the Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi, a sporting event that represents the first major masters multi-sport games to be hosted in West Asia.
Unlike traditional World Masters Games, which require athletes to meet qualification standards, the Abu Dhabi edition has adopted a fully inclusive "open" format.
The event welcomes competitors aged 30 and above, regardless of their ability or skill level, with no entry barriers. The eight-day games are scheduled to conclude on February 14.
