
Hyderabad, February 10 The ACB announced on Tuesday that it had arrested an SI for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000.
The sub-inspector, stationed at the Madhapur police station, reportedly demanded and accepted the bribe from a complainant "in exchange for providing copies of a notice issued in a case and preventing the complainant from being arrested in the future," the Anti-Corruption Bureau said in a statement.
The bribe amount was recovered from his possession.
The ACB stated that the official "misconducted himself and acted dishonestly" to gain an unfair advantage.
The case is currently under investigation.
