Spiritual movement aligns Vedantic teachings with urgent environmental mission
New Delhi, May 17 – Renowned philosopher and author Acharya Prashant has unveiled Operation 2030, a transformative spiritual campaign aimed at awakening youth consciousness around the pressing issue of climate change. The initiative was launched at an event held at PVR EDM Mall in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, in collaboration with Presidium Group of Schools and PVR INOX.The occasion also witnessed the release of Acharya Prashant’s latest book, Decoding Success, further cementing his role as a thought leader fusing ancient wisdom with contemporary challenges.
A Mission Inspired by the Climate Deadline
Operation 2030 is envisioned as a decade-long movement in response to the United Nations' climate deadline, guided by insights from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and the Paris Agreement. Acharya Prashant framed the initiative as a call for personal and collective courage.“This is not just about saving the planet; it’s about saving ourselves,” he stated. “Climate change is not a distant threat, it is already here, and the world has until 2030 to turn the tide. The question is urgent and personal: do we have the courage to rise above comfort and act now, before it’s too late for all of us?”
Youth Called to Lead the Charge
Acharya Prashant appealed directly to students to lead this climate mission, urging them to challenge consumerist habits and embody conscious living. As the founder of the PrashantAdvait Foundation and author of over 160 books, his teachings are grounded in Vedantic philosophy, tailored for modern relevance.Through his Bhagavad Gita Teaching Program, which has already engaged over 100,000 participants, Acharya Prashant connects spiritual wisdom to environmental activism.
Gita as a Catalyst for Climate Consciousness
Drawing from the Bhagavad Gita, he framed climate action as a spiritual imperative. “The Gita is not for cowards sitting on the sidelines. It’s a warrior’s manual. It tells you when the battlefield is on fire, you don’t run, you don’t freeze, you step forward and fight. Today, that battlefield is our planet.”He emphasized that adopting Gita’s wisdom transforms everyday behavior. “You stop living like a blind consumer. You start seeing through the traps. Unconscious action becomes unbearable. You change how you eat, how you buy, how you live. That change is our real weapon.”
Through Operation 2030, Acharya Prashant aims to arm the youth with awareness and spiritual strength, positioning mindful living as the most powerful response to the climate crisis.
