Adani Green Energy Expands Renewable Capacity with New 275 MW Solar Project in Gujarat

Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) announced on Friday, February 28, that its renewable energy portfolio has grown significantly with the commissioning of a new 275 MW solar power project located at Khavda in Gujarat. This expansion has elevated AGEL’s total operational renewable energy generation capacity to an impressive 12,258.1 MW.

The newly operationalized facility is owned and operated by Adani Green Energy Twenty Five A Ltd., a wholly-owned step-down subsidiary of AGEL. The commissioning decision was finalized on February 27, 2025, following all necessary regulatory clearances. The plant officially commenced power generation on February 28, 2025, as confirmed by AGEL in a recent regulatory filing.

This latest addition at Khavda reaffirms AGEL's commitment to expanding India's renewable energy footprint and contributing significantly towards sustainable energy solutions. The company's growing operational portfolio highlights its continued investment in solar power as a key element in achieving broader renewable energy targets.

The strategic location of the Khavda project in Gujarat further underscores the state’s growing prominence as a renewable energy hub, aligning with India's broader goals of accelerating clean energy adoption.
