Akash Anand Responds After Removal from BSP Posts, Vows Continued Loyalty to Mayawati and Party's Mission

Lucknow, March 3: A day after being stripped of all party responsibilities within the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Akash Anand reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty to party supremo Mayawati, describing her decisions as "patthar ki lakeer," meaning "carved in stone."

In an emotional post shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, Anand acknowledged that Mayawati's decision had deeply affected him but stated firmly that he accepts it as a personal challenge. He emphasized his resolve to remain committed to the larger Bahujan Movement and fight tirelessly for the rights of Dalits, exploited, and marginalized communities.

"I am a cadre of Mayawati ji and, under her leadership, have learned unforgettable lessons of sacrifice, loyalty, and dedication. These are not mere ideas, but the very purpose of my life," Anand said.
He further added, "Every decision by Behan ji (Mayawati) is like 'patthar ki lakeer' for me. I respect and stand firmly by her every decision."

Anand Sees Removal as a Challenge

Akash Anand acknowledged the emotional impact of Mayawati's move to remove him from all key positions but expressed his determination to confront the challenge head-on.

"The decision left me emotional, but it is now a big challenge. The test ahead is difficult, and a long battle awaits," he asserted.
Identifying himself as a devoted worker dedicated to the Bahujan Mission and Movement, Anand highlighted that patience and determination would be his guiding principles in navigating these challenging times.

BSP Leadership Changes: Anand Kumar, Ramji Gautam Appointed National Coordinators

On Sunday, BSP chief Mayawati removed Anand, who is also her nephew, from all party positions and appointed Anand Kumar, Akash Anand's father, alongside Rajya Sabha MP Ramji Gautam, as national coordinators. Significantly, Mayawati reiterated that she will not name a successor during her lifetime, underlining that the party's welfare supersedes personal relationships.

Mayawati's decision follows recent internal tensions within BSP. She had earlier accused Anand’s father-in-law, Ashok Siddharth, of instigating factionalism within the party. Siddharth was expelled last month on charges of anti-party activities.

Anand Hits Back at Political Rivals

Responding directly to political opponents, Anand stated emphatically:

"Some people from rival parties believe my political career is over... They must understand that the Bahujan Movement is not a career but a fight for self-respect and dignity for crores of Dalits, deprived, and marginalized people."
He added passionately, "This movement cannot be suppressed. Lakhs of Akash Anands stand ready to uphold this torch and make sacrifices whenever needed."

Anand concluded his message by pledging lifelong dedication to the BSP, vowing that he would tirelessly serve the cause and continue advocating fiercely for social justice and empowerment.
