Allahabad High Court Judge's Car Collides with Police Escort Vehicle in Deoria

Deoria, Uttar Pradesh – A vehicle carrying Justice Rajeev Kumar Singh of the Allahabad High Court collided with a police escort vehicle on Saturday in Deoria, though fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.

According to Circle Officer (CO) Sanjay Kumar Reddy, the accident occurred at Subhash Chowk on Civil Lines Road, falling under the jurisdiction of the Kotwali police station. The judge's car, en route to an event, struck the police escort vehicle ahead of it.

Reddy explained that the incident occurred when the driver of the escort vehicle abruptly applied the brakes, causing the judge's car to rear-end the vehicle. The front portion of Justice Singh's vehicle was severely damaged, but no injuries were reported.

Additional Director General (ADG) of Police, GK Goswami, was also present in the vehicle at the time of the collision.

The CO confirmed that an investigation will be carried out to determine the cause and responsibility of the accident.

This incident has raised concerns about the safety protocols surrounding high-profile officials and the coordination of police escort vehicles.
