New Delhi, Feb 4 (PTI) – Aluminium prices edged lower on Tuesday, declining by 30 paise to ₹253.15 per kilogram in the futures market as traders reduced their positions following a weak trend in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), aluminium contracts for February delivery slipped 0.12% to ₹253.15 per kg in a trading volume of 3,828 lots.

Market analysts attributed the price decline to subdued demand from consuming industries, which prompted participants to cut down their holdings. The easing industrial demand weighed on aluminium prices, influencing the downward movement in futures trading.
