New Delhi, Feb 3 (PTI): Aluminium prices witnessed a decline on Monday, slipping by 75 paise to ₹249.20 per kilogram in the futures market as traders trimmed their positions due to a weak trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), aluminium contracts for February delivery saw a 0.3% drop, settling at ₹249.20 per kg in a total of 3,720 lots.
Market analysts attributed the price dip to reduced demand from consuming industries, prompting participants to scale back their positions. The easing demand in the physical market remained a key factor behind the decline.
