Through this collaboration, Amazon will extend its Saheli program to women-led enterprises under Brand ARGA, offering specialized training in digital marketing, performance marketing, product listing optimization, and advertising strategies. This initiative aims to help local businesses expand their online presence and boost sales.
The official launch took place during the World Wetlands Day celebration at the Parvati Arga Bird Sanctuary in Gonda, with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Minister of State for Environment Kirti Vardhan Singh in attendance.
Women entrepreneurs associated with Brand ARGA will gain data-driven insights and metrics to better understand consumer preferences and market trends. Additionally, the partnership will facilitate the listing of regional specialty products—including pickles, jams, flour, namkeen, gram flour, noodles, and more—on Amazon.in, enhancing their reach to national and international markets.
Brand ARGA, a government-backed initiative, enables small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) to promote and sell their products under a unified brand name, improving visibility and market access.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath highlighted the initiative’s impact, stating, “With Amazon’s support, these self-help groups (SHGs) can now sell their products online. While our products have always maintained high quality, we have now addressed packaging challenges, and with Amazon’s expertise, marketing barriers are also being overcome.”
This collaboration is expected to boost rural entrepreneurship and drive economic empowerment for women in the region.
