New Delhi, Feb 3 (PTI): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of stalling Delhi's progress, stating that while states with double-engine BJP governments have flourished over the past decade, Delhi remains behind due to the AAP’s excuses and confrontations with the Centre.

Addressing a public meeting in Jangpura, South Delhi, Shah took a sharp jibe at AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal and his former deputy Manish Sisodia, branding them as “bade miyan and chote miyan” who, he alleged, have looted Delhi.

Shah further targeted Sisodia, who is contesting from the Jangpura Assembly seat, by calling him the only education minister in the country to be jailed in a liquor scam.

"States with a double-engine BJP government have progressed in the last 10 years. But in Delhi, AAP has wasted a decade making excuses and picking fights with the Centre, acting like cry babies," Shah asserted.
He accused Kejriwal’s government of misleading Delhiites with false promises while delivering only garbage, toxic water, and corruption to the national capital.

"Bade miyan and chote miyan made big promises but ended up looting Delhi. Both of them will lose the upcoming elections," Shah declared.
Emphasizing the BJP’s vision, he claimed that the BJP is the only party capable of transforming Delhi into a world-class capital city.
