Chittoor (Andhra Pradesh), March 1: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu reaffirmed the TDP-led NDA government's commitment to implementing the ‘Talliki Vandanam’ scheme in May. The initiative, which forms a key part of the ‘Super Six’ election promises, aims to provide ₹15,000 per year for every school-going child.

The announcement follows the allocation of ₹9,407 crore for the scheme in the state budget for FY26, as presented by Finance Minister P Keshavulu on Friday.

Financial Support for Middle-Class Families

Speaking at a village meeting in Gangadhara Nellore, Chittoor district, while disbursing welfare pensions, Naidu assured financial aid to all eligible families.
"We will provide money to everyone in May under ‘Talliki Vandanam’. This support will reach all middle-class families," he stated.

Encouraging Population Growth

The Chief Minister expressed concerns over the declining population, urging couples to have more than two children. He warned that a shrinking younger generation could become a serious issue, particularly as the global population ages.
To counteract this, Naidu stressed that schemes like ‘Talliki Vandanam’ would help ease the financial burden of raising children.
"Children are the wealth and future of the nation, and the government will support their upbringing," he assured.

₹20,000 Annual Aid for Farmers Under ‘Annadata Sukhibhava’

Naidu also reiterated the rollout of another key promise from the ‘Super Six’—the ‘Annadata Sukhibhava’ scheme. The initiative will provide ₹20,000 per year to farmers in three phases. The Government of India contributes ₹6,000, while the state government will add ₹14,000, ensuring a total financial aid of ₹20,000.
For this scheme, ₹6,300 crore has been allocated in the state budget.

Healthcare & Industrial Development Initiatives

To address the burden of rising medical expenses, Naidu announced a comprehensive health insurance plan:

  • ₹2.5 lakh medical insurance for all citizens.
  • Up to ₹25 lakh coverage for those in need.
Additionally, the CM pledged to establish a 2,000-acre industrial park in Gangadhara Nellore, fostering employment opportunities and boosting the local economy.

With these initiatives, the Naidu-led NDA government aims to provide financial security, promote family welfare, and enhance economic growth across Andhra Pradesh.
