Hyderabad, February 12 The multi-disciplinary state agency, HYDRAA, conducted an anti-encroachment drive in Khanamet on Thursday, removing encroachments and reclaiming 11 acres of government land worth Rs 2,200 crore.

The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) in a post on 'X' said it launched an operation after residents had reported the encroachments to HYDRAA's public helpline.

HYDRAA conducted an inquiry on January 31 regarding the encroachments, which was attended by revenue officials and also the encroachers.

During the meeting, the revenue officials confirmed the encroachment after reviewing satellite maps.

HYDRAA removed encroachments such as temporary sheds and shops after giving the encroachers time to remove them.

HYDRAA stated that it reclaimed 11 acres of government land, including a lake, thereby recovering assets worth Rs 2,200 crore.
