Bielefeld (Germany), May 12 – Indian dressage rider Anush Agarwalla delivered a standout performance at the Holtkamper Dressurtage Grand Prix, scoring a personal best of 69.44% in only his second Grand Prix appearance with his new horse, Etro.
Agarwalla, who clinched team gold and individual bronze at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games, impressed the international panel with a graceful and technically strong performance. The event, known for drawing elite global talent in dressage, witnessed the promising Indian Olympian begin his European campaign on a high note.
He also expressed excitement about competing with Etro internationally, highlighting their synergy and preparation leading up to the season.“I am very proud of our performance together,” said Anush. “Etro and I have learned a lot from each other in a short time. It’s been months of hard work behind the scenes, and I’m happy we could showcase that today. While there's still room for improvement, this is a strong start to the season, and I’m excited to build from here.”
The promising duo is now set to participate in their first international event together, the CDI 3* in Lier, Belgium, later this week. The competition will take place at the prestigious Azelhof Equestrian Centre.
