New Delhi, Feb 3 (PTI): Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday strongly endorsed the Union Budget 2025, calling it a visionary step towards the Viksit Bharat 2047 goal. Speaking at the 16th Finance Commission meeting in New Delhi, Naidu emphasized the growing role of technology, investment, and state-center cooperation in shaping India's future.

Naidu’s Support for Budget 2025

During his interaction with reporters, Naidu dismissed concerns about Andhra Pradesh’s share in the budget, asserting confidence in his government’s collaboration with the Centre.

"Some ask what we have got. We have got everything. I am confident about our partnership with the central government. One should always be at the right place, at the right time, with the right people—things will happen automatically," he remarked.

Highlighting the four key growth driversagriculture, MSMEs, investment, and exports—Naidu positioned Andhra Pradesh as a major player in India’s development trajectory.

Technology & Economic Growth at the Forefront

A strong advocate of technological advancements, Naidu drew parallels between India's economic ambitions and China’s growth model, emphasizing that development should transcend political lines.

"Everybody is now speaking my language—Artificial Intelligence (AI). We are seeing deep tech integration across all walks of life. These are exciting times," he stated, referring to his pioneering IT initiatives from three decades ago.

Naidu also stressed the importance of new investment models, advocating for a shift beyond traditional Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) to a more inclusive "Public-Private-People’s Partnership" framework. This, he argued, would ensure equitable access to opportunities and amenities.

Focus on Key Sectors & India's Global Future

He praised the budget’s emphasis on four crucial sectorspoor, youth, farmers, and women, aligning it with his “10 Principles of Development” and vision for a Swarna Andhra Pradesh within the larger framework of Viksit Bharat 2047.

Pointing to global investor interest at Davos, Naidu predicted a prosperous future for India, claiming that by 2047, Indians would be "the wealthiest community", fueled by technological prowess and demographic strength.

Andhra Pradesh’s Case at the 16th Finance Commission

Addressing Andhra Pradesh’s priorities in the 16th Finance Commission meeting, Naidu stated that his government would highlight structural challenges inherited from the state’s bifurcation and poor financial management by the previous administration.

"We want to rebuild Andhra Pradesh and contribute to nation-building," he asserted, signaling a strong developmental agenda for the state.

With a pro-technology, pro-development vision, Naidu’s endorsement of Budget 2025 sets the stage for Andhra Pradesh’s strategic role in India’s long-term growth ambitions.
