Aramco Korea Championship: Diksha Dagar and Pranavi Urs Share 32nd Spot; Avani and Tvesa Miss Cut

Seoul, May 10 – Indian golfers Diksha Dagar and Pranavi Urs delivered mixed performances but both ended at tied-32nd after the second round of the Aramco Korea Championship at the New Korea Country Club on Saturday.

Diksha staged a late recovery to card a two-over 74 after a rough start with three bogeys on the front nine. She settled in well on the back nine, securing eight pars and a birdie to steady her round.

Pranavi, on the other hand, began from the 10th and was even-par at the turn. However, she faltered on her second nine with three bogeys, finishing with a three-over 75. Both golfers now stand at three-over 147 after two rounds.

Among other Indians, Avani Prashanth (79-73) showed improvement in the second round but failed to make the cut. Tvesa Malik also exited early after rounds of 79 and 76.

Hyo Joo Kim Leads on Home Soil​

In the individual standings, defending champion and local favorite Hyo Joo Kim maintained a one-shot lead over South Africa's Lee-Anne Pace. Kim carded her second consecutive 70 in wet conditions to sit at four-under-par.

Pace trails at three-under, followed closely by Ecuador’s Daniela Darquea and France’s Perrine Delacour, both at two-under. Delacour is fresh off a win at the Investec SA Women’s Open.

Team Kouskova Clinches Victory in Tight Finish​

In the team event, Lee-Anne Pace sealed the win for Team Kouskova with a clutch birdie on the final hole. The team, which included Pace, Kristyna Napolea Kouskova, Brianna Navarrosa, and Patricia Isabel Schmidt, finished at 21-under, edging out Team Delacour by one stroke.

Team Diksha secured a respectable seventh place, while Team Pranavi, which featured Avani Prashanth, tied for 11th. Tvesa Malik’s squad, Team Pia Babnik, finished tied-24th.

Other Notables on the Leaderboard​

Seven players are tied for fifth at one-under, including Chiara Tamburlini (Switzerland), Dorthea Forbrigd (Norway), Johanna Wrigley (Sweden), Kelsey Bennett (Australia), and Germany’s Patricia Isabel Schmidt, Polly Mack, and Chiara Noja.

The Aramco Korea Championship continues to test players with challenging conditions and a competitive field as the weekend rounds approach.
