Army Launches Operations Following Terrorist Activity in J-K.webp


Jammu, February 12 General Officer Commanding (GOC) of White Knight Corps, Lieutenant General P K Mishra, visited forward areas along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday, urging troops to maintain constant vigilance and professional excellence to address emerging threats, the Army said.

Lieutenant General Mishra visited the Naushera sector and conducted a thorough review of the prevailing security environment and operational preparedness along the LoC, the White Knight Corps, based in Jammu, said in a post on X.

Amidst the rugged terrain and challenging conditions, the GOC interacted with the steadfast troops deployed along the LoC and was informed about their high state of readiness, intensive training regimen, and enhanced measures to improve surveillance, precision engagement, and combat effectiveness, the Army said.

Commending their unwavering resolve, Lieutenant General Mishra emphasized the importance of constant vigilance, uncompromising preparedness, and continuous professional excellence to decisively address emerging threats, the social media post said.

Meanwhile, security forces launched a search operation in Dharanji in the Sarthal area of the Kishtwar district following information about the suspected movement of two terrorists this afternoon, officials said.

They said a similar search operation continued for the second day in Katasoo and Donadi in the Thathri area of the Doda district.

The operation was launched on Wednesday following information about the movement of three suspected individuals, the officials said.
