Army Vehicle Attacked by Suspected Terrorists Near LoC in Rajouri, Search Operation Underway

Rajouri/Jammu, February 26 – A suspected terrorist attack targeted an Indian Army vehicle in a forward village near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district on Wednesday, officials confirmed.

The incident occurred near Phal village in the Sunderbani sector, an area known for infiltration attempts. According to officials, a group of terrorists believed to be hiding in the surrounding forest fired several rounds at the passing army vehicle.

In response, the troops immediately retaliated, and reinforcements were dispatched to the location to track down the assailants.

Following the attack, the army launched a cordon and search operation in the area to neutralize the suspected terrorists and prevent any further security threats. No casualties have been reported so far.

Security forces remain on high alert in the region as search efforts continue.
