
Jammu, February 10: The "Cross Swords Gunners," under the command of the White Knight Corps of the Indian Army, in collaboration with the Sub-Divisional Administration of Chowki Choura, organized a free medical camp at the PHC in Gangal, near Akhnoor. Over 500 residents availed services including general check-ups, consultations with specialists, free medicines, diagnostic tests, and awareness programs on preventive healthcare. Army medical teams, equipped with mobile units, treated common and chronic illnesses, benefiting underserved communities, including the Bakerwals and veterans. SDM Ankush Hans, along with local officials and Panchayat representatives, praised the Army's initiative, stating that it helped bridge healthcare gaps in remote, hilly areas. The camp was part of the Army's ongoing "Sadbhavna" initiatives, aimed at promoting public health and strengthening cooperation between the Army and civilians in Jammu and Kashmir.
