Mumbai, Feb 3 (PTI) – Netflix has officially announced The Ba**ds of Bollywood*, the debut series of Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan. The much-anticipated project, created and directed by Aryan, will be produced under Red Chillies Entertainment, helmed by Gauri Khan.
The revelation came at Netflix's 2025 slate announcement event, where Shah Rukh Khan introduced the series and unveiled its teaser. The show is set against the backdrop of the Indian film industry, promising a gripping mix of high-stakes drama and self-aware humor.
Described as a multi-genre spectacle, The Ba**ds of Bollywood* follows the journey of an ambitious outsider navigating the glamorous yet challenging world of cinema. The series is expected to deliver a unique, tongue-in-cheek take on Bollywood, featuring blockbuster cameos and extravagant characters.
This project marks the sixth collaboration between Netflix and Red Chillies Entertainment, following successful ventures such as Darlings, Bhakshak, Class of ’83, and series like Betaal and Bard of Blood.
Aryan Khan’s foray into direction comes after his sister, Suhana Khan, made her acting debut with Netflix’s 2023 film The Archies, directed by Zoya Akhtar.
With its star-studded backing and an intriguing premise, The Ba**ds of Bollywood* is already generating significant buzz, setting the stage for a fresh, bold take on the Hindi film industry.
