Revised final voter list released in Assam
In Assam, the Election Commission released the revised final voter list for all 126 Assembly constituencies in Assam on Wednesday. According to the list, the total number of voters in the state is 24,958,139. According to the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Assam, a total of 2,43,485 names were removed from the draft list, which had recorded 25,201,624 voters. The draft voter list for Special Revision 2026 was published on December 27, 2025. Before preparing the draft list, door-to-door verification was conducted from November 22 to December 20 last year. According to the final list, Assam has 12,482,213 male voters and 12,475,583 female voters, while the number of voters of third gender is 343. Members of the public can submit objections or claims regarding the voter list at the District Magistrate's office within 15 days.
