Patna, May 11 – Aisangfa Gogoi of Assam shattered the national youth record en route to a gold medal triumph in the girls' 55kg weightlifting category at the Khelo India Youth Games on Sunday, catapulting her state into the top 10 of the medal tally.

Gogoi lifted a combined total of 183kg, surpassing the previous national youth record set by Mina Santa in Fiji last year.
