
Riyadh, February 12 Indian golfers Aditi Ashok, Avani Prashanth, and Pranavi Urs made the halfway cut at the PIF Saudi Ladies International, being held at the Riyadh Golf Club.
The standout performer was the youngest, Avani, who added a strong 1-under 71 to her opening round 3-under 69, bringing her total to 4-under. She finished tied for 35th place.
Aditi, a five-time winner on the LET, shot a consistent 3-under 69, bringing her total to 3-under, and finished tied for 43rd place. Pranavi (69) played a bogey-free round.
After parring the entire back nine, which was her first nine holes, Pranavi had three birdies, which helped her recover from her opening round score of 73. With a total of 2-under, she secured a place in the weekend competition.
Diksha Dagar unfortunately missed the cut by one shot, carding 2-over 74, and her total of 1-under over two rounds saw her early exit. Hitaashee Bakshi (74-72) also missed the cut.
Diksha had two bogeys and couldn't get her putts to fall, resulting in no birdies.
Avani, who started from the tenth tee, made a remarkable recovery after being 2-over through her first six holes. She dropped shots on the 11th and 15th. She brilliantly bounced back with a birdie on the 18th, and added two more on the fifth and seventh, giving her a chance to further improve her position over the weekend.
Aditi, who started from the first tee, had an early bogey on the second hole, but then went on to score four birdies without dropping any more shots, finishing with a score of 69.
