New Delhi, February 16 Azmatullah Omarzai put on a brilliant all-round performance, leading Afghanistan to a five-wicket victory over the United Arab Emirates in their Group D T20 World Cup match here on Monday.
Omarzai initially returned with figures of 4/15, helping restrict the UAE to 160/9.
He then followed up with a match-winning 40 not out, after Ibrahim Zadran scored 53, to guide Afghanistan to their first win in this edition.
For the UAE, Sohaib Khan scored his second consecutive fifty, smashing 68 off 48 balls, while Alishan Sharafu contributed 40 off 31 balls.
