New Delhi, May 18 — Actor Babil Khan has hinted at stepping away from his upcoming project with filmmaker Sai Rajesh, marking a pause in what was anticipated to be a promising collaboration. The 27-year-old actor was set to headline the Hindi remake of the acclaimed film Baby.

In a heartfelt note shared on Instagram on Saturday, Babil expressed regret over the unexpected development. “With a lot of grit, passion, and mutual respect, Sai Rajesh sir and I both got along on this journey of creating magic together. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, things didn’t go ahead as everyone had planned,” he wrote.

Babil also revealed that he would be taking a temporary break from work. “Since I will be taking some time off currently, I wish the best to Sai Rajesh sir and the film team on their future journey. I know there is immense love between us, and we will meet soon in the future and create magic together,” he added.

The announcement follows a recent emotional video post by the actor in which he shared his candid thoughts about the industry. Although the video was later deleted, it went viral and drew significant attention online. His team subsequently issued a clarification, confirming that Babil was in good health and explaining that the names mentioned in the video referred to actors who had supported him.

Babil Khan, son of the late legendary actor Irrfan Khan and writer Sutapa Sikdar, made his acting debut in 2022 with the film Qala. His decision to take a step back has stirred conversations among fans and industry peers, many of whom continue to rally around the young actor as he navigates his journey forward.
