Actor Announces Exit from Project, Emphasizes Mutual Respect and Future Collaboration

New Delhi, May 18 — Actor Babil Khan has announced his departure from the upcoming Hindi remake of the film Baby, which was to be helmed by director Sai Rajesh. Taking to Instagram on Saturday, the 27-year-old actor shared an emotional note explaining that the project could not proceed as intended due to "unfortunate circumstances."

“Things didn’t go ahead as planned,” Khan wrote in his statement, highlighting that both he and Rajesh had embarked on the project with “grit, passion, and mutual respect.” He added, “Since I will be taking some time off currently, I wish the best to Sai Rajesh sir and the film team on their future journey.”

Khan also expressed hope for future collaboration, stating, “I know there is immense love between us, and we will meet soon in the future and create magic together.”

Sai Rajesh Responds with Heartfelt Praise

In a corresponding message posted on Instagram, filmmaker Sai Rajesh responded warmly, calling Babil “one of the most talented and hardworking actors” he has ever met.

“After spending time with Babil while prepping, I was very happy to be working with such a talented actor. I will still always cherish the experience of seeing him perform in front of me. I will miss my Hero!” Rajesh wrote. He respected Khan’s decision to prioritize self-care and expressed confidence that the two will collaborate again in the future.

Emotional Post, Then Silence

This development comes shortly after Khan made headlines for an emotional video criticizing Bollywood, which he later deleted. In the video, he mentioned several actors by name, which sparked online debate. His team later clarified that the names referenced were of those who had been supportive of him and assured that the actor is doing fine.

A Promising Talent Taking Time Off

Babil Khan, son of the late actor Irrfan Khan and writer Sutapa Sikdar, made his acting debut in 2022 with Qala. His exit from the Baby remake marks a pause in his career journey, but both he and Rajesh remain optimistic about working together again in the future.

With mutual admiration evident between the actor and the director, fans will now wait in anticipation for their next opportunity to collaborate.
