
Bengaluru, February 15 A three-year-old boy is alleged to have drowned in an artificial pond at a photo studio on the outskirts of the city, police said on Sunday.
The incident occurred during a photoshoot at Giddenahalli, under the Madanayakanahalli police station limits, on Saturday, they said.
According to police, the incident occurred when the child, along with his mother, visited the studio for his friend's maternity photoshoot.
While the woman was busy with her friend's photoshoot, the child was playing nearby and reportedly fell into the artificial water pond at the location and drowned.
After some time, when the woman realized that her child was missing, along with others in the vicinity, she frantically searched for him. They subsequently found him in the pool, police said.
He was rushed to the hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead, they said, adding that a case has been registered and investigation is ongoing.
Police further said that the child's father was abroad on work and is expected to return to Bengaluru on Monday.
