According to a press release issued by the TTD, Radha Krishna, Shyam Sundar Sharma, and Shashidhar handed over the intricately crafted lamps at the Mahadwaram (grand entrance) of the shrine on Saturday evening. The offering was received by temple official Ramakrishna.

The contribution comes as part of a continuing tradition of donations to the Tirupati temple, which is considered the richest Hindu shrine in the world. Attracting between 70,000 to 1 lakh pilgrims daily, the temple receives offerings that can exceed ₹3 crore each day.

In a separate initiative, TTD Chairman B R Naidu on Saturday distributed 555 helmets to temple staff to ensure their safe commute between Tirumala and Tirupati. The helmets, valued at ₹5 lakh, were donated by J Raghuram and Naveen of a Delhi-based helmet company.

Naidu announced that an additional 500 helmets are expected to arrive within the next 15 days. He also stated that if the current batch proves satisfactory in terms of quality and usability, the temple administration plans to procure and distribute another 5,000 helmets.

These developments underline both the continued devotion of pilgrims and the temple board’s commitment to the welfare of its staff.
