Chandigarh, February 10 The Punjab government appointed Bal Jogi Pargat Nath as the chairman of the advisory board of the Bhagwan Valmiki Ji Tirath Sthal shrine board on Tuesday.

The appointment reflects the Bhagwant Mann government's intention to establish Ram Tirath as a globally recognized center for Dalit faith, heritage, and spiritual philosophy, according to an official release.

Mann congratulated Nath and stated that under his leadership, Bhagwan Valmiki Ji Tirath Sthal will be developed into an international center for Dalit faith, attracting devotees, scholars, and visitors from around the world.

Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said that Dalit communities have made a significant contribution to the development of India, and the Mann government is fully committed to honoring this contribution and extending it to every household.

"Bhagwan Valmiki Ji Tirath Sthal is not only a sacred place of faith but also a site of immense civilizational importance, and its development on an international scale will ensure global recognition of the values of equality, dignity, and social justice associated with Bhagwan Valmiki," he added.
