BHEL Q4 Results: Net Profit Rises 3% to ₹504.45 Crore, Annual Profit Surges 89%

Industrial Business Drives Growth in March Quarter​

New Delhi, May 16 — Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL), the state-owned engineering major, reported a 3% year-on-year increase in its consolidated net profit for the March quarter, reaching ₹504.45 crore. The rise in profit was primarily driven by a strong performance in its industry business segment.

In the corresponding quarter of the previous year, BHEL had posted a net profit of ₹489.62 crore.

Revenue Sees Solid Growth​

Total income during the quarter rose to ₹9,142.64 crore, up from ₹8,416.84 crore a year ago.

Segment-wise, revenue from the industry business surged significantly to ₹2,800.96 crore, compared to ₹2,091.98 crore in the same quarter last year. Meanwhile, the power business recorded a marginal increase, rising to ₹6,192.41 crore from ₹6,168.27 crore in the year-ago period.

FY25 Performance: Profit Nearly Doubles​

For the full fiscal year 2024-25, BHEL’s consolidated net profit soared to ₹533.90 crore, marking an impressive 89% jump from ₹282.22 crore in FY24.

The company’s total annual income stood at ₹28,804.79 crore, up from ₹24,439.05 crore in the previous fiscal year.

Final Dividend Proposed​

BHEL’s board has recommended a final dividend of 25% — equivalent to ₹0.50 per equity share of ₹2 each — for FY25. The dividend will be disbursed within 30 days from the date of the upcoming Annual General Meeting, subject to shareholder approval.
