Bhopal’s Principal Chief Income Tax Office Earns ISO 9001:2015 Certification, a First in India

Bhopal, Feb 26: The Office of the Principal Chief Income Tax Commissioner, Bhopal, has become the first administrative Income Tax office in India to receive the ISO 9001:2015 certification in the category of public administration. The certification was issued by Universal Certification Services on Tuesday, marking a significant achievement for the department.

Principal Chief Income Tax Commissioner for Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, Purushottam Tripuri, credited the milestone to the dedicated efforts of employees and officers. He emphasized that the ISO certification, which is globally recognized, reflects the department’s commitment to efficient service, administrative excellence, and taxpayer satisfaction.

"This certification enhances our credibility and strengthens our operational capabilities. I hope that we continue to work with the same dedication and diligence in the future as well," said Tripuri.

The occasion was also attended by Director General (Investigation) Satish Goyal, underlining the importance of the achievement for the region’s income tax administration.

This recognition is expected to bolster the office’s efficiency, transparency, and service standards, setting a benchmark for other tax administration offices across the country.
