DODA, February 15: The Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) of Doda, Kapil Deol, has ordered a three-month suspension of vehicles that have been blacklisted, in order to improve road safety, under the direction of Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh.
Vehicles operating with expired fitness certificates or without valid route permits have been prohibited from operating. Owners have been instructed to renew the necessary documents or cancel their registration if the vehicles have been scrapped.
Failure to comply within three months will result in the cancellation of registration certificates, seizure of vehicles, and penalties under the Motor Vehicles Act of 1988.
The District Administration stated that this move aims to ensure public safety and enforce transport regulations in the district.
