Security Intensified Across Mumbai Amid India-Pakistan Tensions

Mumbai, May 13 – An anonymous bomb threat sent via email to Maharashtra’s Disaster Management Control Room on Monday evening has triggered a state of high alert across Mumbai, especially at the Mantralaya, the administrative headquarters of the state government.

According to Mumbai Police, the email warned of a bomb blast within 48 hours but failed to specify a location. In response, security personnel swiftly conducted a comprehensive search of the Mantralaya complex, located in south Mumbai, but no suspicious object was discovered.

The threat arrives at a time of heightened tension due to the ongoing India-Pakistan military conflict, prompting Mumbai Police to enhance security at all major locations citywide. "We are taking no chances," said a senior police official, noting that the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has also been alerted.

The Marine Drive Police Station has registered a case in connection with the threat, and efforts are underway to trace the origin of the email using its IP address.

Authorities remain vigilant, assuring the public that all necessary precautions are taken to ensure safety and security.
