Bomb Threat Triggers Evacuation at Indore’s Holkar Stadium for Second Time in Three Days.webp

Indore, May 12 – Authorities evacuated the Holkar Stadium in Indore on Monday following a fresh bomb threat, marking the second such incident at the venue in just three days, police officials confirmed.

The Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) alerted law enforcement after receiving an email that threatened to blow up the stadium. "We received information from the MPCA office that they had received an email threatening to blow up the Holkar Stadium," said Jitendra Singh Yadav, in-charge of Tukoganj police station.

In response, police evacuated all individuals from the premises and deployed a bomb squad to conduct a thorough search. After hours of inspection, no suspicious items were discovered, confirming the threat to be another hoax.

This incident follows a similar email threat received by the MPCA on May 9, which also resulted in an evacuation and bomb squad deployment, ultimately yielding no explosives.

A senior police official noted that Indore has seen a spate of false bomb threats in recent months, targeting locations such as the city airport, banks, hospitals, and educational institutions. "An accused has already been arrested in connection with one such fake threat," the official added.

Authorities are continuing their investigation to trace the origin of the latest email and determine whether it is related to previous threats.
