
Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the Cabinet's approval for three multi-tracking projects covering various districts across Delhi, Haryana, Maharashtra, and Karnataka will strengthen rail infrastructure, reduce logistical costs, and create job opportunities for young people.
Mr. Modi also said that the decision to widen National Highway-167 from Gudebellur to Mahabubnagar on the Hyderabad-Panaji Economic Corridor will boost economic growth, create employment, and further improve the quality of life.
Prime Minister Modi further announced that the Cabinet has also approved a 4-lane, access-controlled greenfield corridor between Gohpur and Numaligarh, including India's first underwater Road-cum-Rail tunnel under the Brahmaputra.
He said that this transformative project will enhance connectivity, reduce logistical costs, and accelerate growth across Assam and the entire Northeast.
Mr. Modi also stated that the Cabinet has approved the extension of the corridor from Noida Sector 142 to Botanical Garden (Noida). He said that this decision will further accelerate Noida's development. It will also significantly reduce traffic congestion.
