Malkangiri, February 9 Police in Malkangiri district, Odisha, announced on Monday that approximately 1 crore worth of cannabis had been seized from a forest.
Fifty-six bags, containing around 1,250 kg of cannabis, were found in a forest near Bejingwada, within the Kalimela police station area, on Sunday.
SP Vinod Patil stated that efforts are underway to identify the source of the drugs and those involved.
He added that approximately 31,000 kg of cannabis was recovered in the district in 2025.
